Used Kia Picanto cars for sale

The Kia Picanto is the smallest car the South Korean brand sells in the UK, and is the ideal city car for someone living in an urban environment or who doesn’t need all that much interior space.

The Picanto does, however, maximise its available space in a very impressive and efficient way – it’s comfortable and practical for daily use.

There are a few options to choose from when buying a used Kia Picanto, including the sportier GT-Line models and the fan-favourite Picanto ‘3’.

You can get a used Kia Picanto on finance, or find cheap deals to purchase.

About the Kia Picanto

The Kia Picanto first launched in 2004 and became an instant hit thanks to its affordability, size and good looks. It stacks up well against its rivals because of its lower price point, but doesn't compromise on quality or styling – the Picanto is a good-looking city car that offers a very impressive interior for its class.

It finds its main competition in the Volkswagen Up! and Hyundai i10 but is a great option for a compact cruiser. Choosing the Picanto will mean you get the Toyota reliability and value for money, so it’s worth considering.

It's available with two different engine options: a 1.0-litre engine; and a turbocharged 1.0-litre engine that's available on the more expensive GT-Line and GT-Line S models.

What features does the Kia Picanto have?

The Kia Picanto features a very good-quality interior with lots of different technology options. Standard features include USB and aux connectivity.

There are some other options available that include a four-speaker setup, an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 3D sat-nav maps, DAB radio, and an eight-inch touchscreen.

Overall, the cockpit is very functional and offers a simplistic and ergonomically-pleasing design.

The Picanto GT-Line S models are the ones that get all the bells and whistles, including sportier looks and wireless phone charging.

In terms of storage space, the Picanto is surprisingly good considering its size and class of vehicle. It has 255 litres of available boot space, which increases to 1,010 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

You can see the full range of features in each Picanto model by checking out our product listings.

What's the Kia Picanto like to drive?

The Kia Picanto is available with two different petrol engine options: a 1.0-litre unit; and a turbocharged 1.0-litre T-GDi engine.

Both engines run smoothly as expected and are great both around town and on slightly longer journeys. The average mpg return for a Picanto is 54mpg – ideal for efficient driving.

No matter the engine, there will be a five-speed manual gearbox to hand, but some naturally-aspirated engines come with a five-speed automatic. An automatic Kia Picanto is a great way to make the driving experience even smoother.
